Miles
Miles
It's probably been asked B4, but what the heck. Who has the most miles on their CL. As for me I have 90k. Purchased my car last year and it had 62K miles. Drive to and from work 5 days a week which comes to about 30 miles a day. How about you guys?
Hey drewha, I've had my car since August, so that's about 8 months I've had it now. The distance to/from work is about 10 miles each way, but I've only put on a little over 6,000 miles on it. I live in a city where you have to drive EVERYWHERE. But, my baby hasn't left Atlanta yet, so that probably helps. How do you people average over 30K a year in your cars??????

Well... I was driving 100miles EACH WAY to work for 10 months or so... That's 1000 a week (not including FUN trips)... That's the reason i bought a nice little 4cylinder that's comfortable... Now i'm only driving 40 each way- it's still a lot but it's MUCH better than the 2 hour drive i used to do... Now that i have my intake, i knocked 15 minutes off my drive and the 40 miles now takes me 1hour. I'm thinking that a sticker or 2 might knock off another 5 minutes or so...
I already have another 2.2 in the process of being rebuilt- just in case... and yes, it will be able to accomodate a turbo...

Home ------> Work [52 miles (round trip) 4-5 x wkly] = over 11,000 miles per year.
Trips to family [VA, NC, PA] = approx 5,000 miles per year.
PLUS A LOT OF JOY RIDING = Too many damn miles!
Wow, nice breakdown. Let me see what I got over here...
Home --> Work : 60 miles rountrip x 5 days x 50 weeks = 15,000 miles
Home --> Biotch's house : 100 miles roundtrip x 2 days x 50 weeks = 10,000 miles
Home --> NYC : 70 miles roundtrip x 30 a year = 2100 miles
Home --> Philly : 60 miles roundtrip x 30 a year = 1800 miles
Various trips : 5000 miles
Total : 33,900 Hot Damn!

I think im right around 196,000 now. My mom needed a commuter car (she drove everyday from south jersey to manhattan) and this one was nice and comfy plus good gas milage. She put on around 100K in 9 months and than i got the car and have put on significantly less. People dont believe me when i tell them how many miles are on it
I currently have 56000 on mine...not to much but i haven't had my CL for that long...my mom had it the whole time before me...also just to tell everyone..I believe MauiWowie has around 25000 on her car...thats most likely the lowest amount...

wow.....100k in 9 months?...damn...thats alot of miles.
Right now i have a little over 100k on mine. Ive had it since summer of 97, so averages about hmmm....15k - 20k miles a year. Not sure where those miles came from, but my car still runs fine. It seems like its never going to break down. Damn Honda Engines....:P
Why do the japanese make cars that will run for 250,000miles when they trade cars in after 30-40k? And why do americans build cars that break after 30k when they really want cars to last over 100k???? Chryslers would be very popular in japan apparently...
I have a 1997 3.0CL and have something like 38,000MILES on it... I don't drive it too often. Only on weekends, weekdays I am forced to take the bus to work because I work downtown, and it's impossible to find decent parking.

As far as putting 30K miles on your car, I usually do around 40 - 45K. I have 2 cars to divy up the miles, but road trips to Atlanta, cross country drives back to LA and to El Paso from Washington, DC does not help. Add at least 100 mile days during football season driving between two states to play ball and the occsasional booty call at night, then the mileage just racks up man.
30K is easy, I try not to do 50K!!!!!!

I've had my 99 2.3 for a little over a year now and I'm at 23k. The people that owned the car before me most have never driven it - it was two years old and only had 11,300 miles.
Oh my driving:
School -> Home: 180 miles (don't make the trek that often)
Home -> Work: 2 miles
Roadtrips: approximately 2000
Joyriding - everything else
