Low and Slow
We had some hail and freakishly high winds in the metroplex yesterday. A guy at work said the winds were so high that they were setting off car alarms around his house. Luckily no hail fell near Denton. Sorry about your car man, hope everything works out ok.

wow, sorry to hear that bro..your city should invest in hail cannons. the farmers here in central cali have them to prevent hail from damaging the crops. they work, sounds like thunder when its on but it works, havent seen hail for awhile. so whats ur next car gunna be?

CL in lawnmower status
can you buy it back?
aslong as it doesn't leak or any windows/exterior things are broken (i know the taillights are, but those are relatively cheap)
this way you can turn the cl into a beater car or DD, if you wanted of course![Shrug](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif)
on my city you wouldn't have to fix any of the exterior dents for it to pass safety
so all you would need to do is replace the tailights, and you should be good to insure it again...
but that's what it's like here, you'd have to ask your insurance company about your situation
sorry to hear about the news tho, i hope everything works out for you with the car hunt

This is what I would do...
1. Take the check and fix it with a little out of pocket.
or...
2. Buy another 3.0CL
or...
3. Buy an 00-04 Mustang GT
or...
4. Buy a 300ZX
or...
5. Buy a 5th gen Prelude
All GREAT sporty 2-dr coupes for under 7.5k

if we wanted to buy it back they would have given us 4,000 to fix up the car, which has over 6k worth of damage
if we were to sell the car to them (which we are) there giving us $6,470. which is plenty to get a new car + im taking off the rims and putting the stockies back on, so after selling them ill have another 700-900 dollars which will all go to the new car when i sell them.
and the car im getting is 7900 so we wont even be paying very much for a new car

alright i got a 2004 ford mustang V6 auto ( couldnt find any in standard) i originally wanted to get the gt mustang which has a V8, but that would make insurance shoot up so that was out of the picture
i plan on getting new wheels and a few other things so this is just the beginning
