Maintence light

My maintence light is red right now with about 58K miles, it's on a 98 by the way. What does this mean?

read the manual. it ususally means its time for scheduled maintence, an oil change or what have you.

you can reset it by sticking a small flathead screwdrier in the reset slot next to it.

That indicator switches from green-yellow-red every 7500 miles. Its just a reminder to perform scheduled mainanence. You can even stick you key into the slot to reset it.
