can anyone help me? i just put on a magnaflow #14815 on my 98 cl 3.0 couple days ago... it sounds really good... but i was just wondering if there is any custom silencer i can put into the muffler? Recently in Baldwin Park, CA there is alot of police lately and i do not want to attract any attend. So yah if anyone know a good place i can pick up some silencer in my area.

 

post some sound clips of that thing. I want to hear

 

There's really no silencers for it unless there's one made for it. Like u said, CUSTOM silencer...u could get one from other muffer and try putting it in.

 

man.. i need tanabe silencers too.. mine is too loud..

where should i buy silencer for tanabe?

i tried ebay... but nothing i found except one... but i need two

 

What exhaust from tanabe do you have? My cousin has the racing one and it's loud, but it sounds nice and deep. He had to put the silencer on his.

 

i think the only way is fo u to get resonator, but thatz permanent thing.

yeah.. i also have a resonator on it... and.. mine is "tanabe hyper medallion".. and.. i'm looking for some silencer for mine... actually.. i got these from ebay, and the seller said that they DO come w/ silencers, but IT DID NOT!!

The hyper medallion doesn't have a silencer. I have that on my ride. So you're out of luck. The only ones from tanabe that has the silencer is the racing one. The hyper isn't that loud everybody likes it, but maybe because you have dual.

 

go to Mikes Muffler on Garvey in El Monte. get a magnaflow resonator... i didn't know you didn't have one. That will solve your problems. I sent you a PM back too check that.

Mikes Muffler on Gravey in El monte is one of the best. I got my exhuast fitted there...

They did the install for me, since it wasn't a direct bolt on. My bro been going there since he was in H.S and now he's 28...so they been around

 

but what if you just want to silence it for a bit. a resonator is permanent, while a silencer is not. you could always get an exhaust cutout. I'm sure that woudl queit it down a bit.

 

i called magnaflow and the said that if you buy the mirror mufflers which are the universals. Streets have a built-in silencer and race don't that's why race has a louder tone while the street version is street friendly but still gives a decent tone
