lowering car questions

whenever i brake hard i hear a grinding noise coming from the front left. i replaced the front pads and the rotor was fine. i was told i needed springs/struts. so i got the front struts and i ordered the eibach spring kit with a 1.4" drop. has this happend to anyone else? do i need to worry about anything else when lowering my car?

that doesn't really make sense. Get a second opinion. How on earth would you need to replace both the springs and struts because of a grinding noise? Sounds more like a bushing to me.

I was told that because my springs and struts are weak. When I brake hard the front dips down and the tire rubs on the strut ? Does that make sense
