So i was dropping my girl off at home and decide to take some videos back while i was out. On my way i see this guy i know go flying by. Me being dumb decides to catch up. i only do it because this guy is always talking about how his car is the fastest thing in the world.i always just laugh at him i mean don't get me wrong it's ok for a civic. We went 3 times and everytime we would start from about twenty or so and go to no more then seventy or eighty. Everytime my car would be at his back door and right when i would start pulling up he would let off. I'm no expert at racing so all i was doing was hitting the gas not even flooring it.The guy drives a four door civic slammed to the ground, kit carbon fiber hood,exhaust, he told me he just did an engine swap and converted it to stick and is spraying nitrous if he used it tonight i don't kno. All i have is an intake and two 12 inch subs. I never thought i would lose to a civic i guess its time to get those headers installed.

 

civics are alot lighter. dont be surprised if they beat u. not a big deal. CLs are better looking anyways and dont need to go fast to look good.

 

are you a 2.x or 3.0? either way a b-series swapped civic will eat a cl.if he had used the juice it wouldn't have been close AT ALL.nice death..........

i feel your pain,lost to a couple in my day. stock for stock we can't beat the new si either.every other civic (non modded) we OWN. a cl is a dimond in the rough,civic's are a dime a dozen......

 

Negative. I'ved raced plenty of time against b16 hacthes and won. I've won against my friends modded 00' SI as well. This was all back when I had intake, headers, exhaust, pullies, and tuned. The GSR dc2 was a few other b series I've won against. Most were my friends cars, other were at the street races.

Yea i know but from all the storys i've read about bad trannys. I dont want to take any chanecs. does D3 make the car any faster an does it hurt the tranny any.

 

d3 gets you to about 115 faster otherwise in d4 she goes into 4th early and your top end in 3rd is gone.

 

correction i meant b18's.(except ls non-tec) b16=garbage. stock for stock i had probs beating a ls in a bubble.only got him by a little more than a car,he was on my ass. every other b18 i ran whooped me whether in a teg,bubble,coupe,or 4-door........

the 00si is the bubble lookin one right? if so i got one of them too.up to 125 i had him by my door/fender.i heard in/ex.all i got is cai.the new si get's me by a car or two every time(when she was up to par)

The bubble (egg) you're thinking of is the EP. 2000 SI is the EM1 chasis. Newer civics, EM2, the hacth SI is the EP, and the newest SI, I don't know the chasis code to.

I got smoked by a civic sedan with a GSR swap when I had my CL .. I was like WTF..

 

What speed does Drive 3 top out at? 115? I dont recall.

headers wont give that much of push to beat a swapped civic.....

try this..... take ur intake out and put the stock back in... race again. if u lose by the same ammount chances are that small mods like intake / headers arent gonna do very much... dont get me wrong... they will increase HP but enough to the point where u would smash a swapped civic

 

The only civic that i have lost to was a turbo one.

It was black and with a huge wing. It looked really nasty....and was driving on the freeway. So I was like hmm why not, pulled up next to him...my window was down just a little bit, when I heard the turbo. I was like ahh fuck.

 

Right on, I value that higher than all the civic kids that live around me, they all claim to have motor swaps and nitrous and turbos, but yeah... they have um stock motors? FTL

it was a really really nice cruising car, girls loved it, and it was professional. i got mad love for it. but it's a boat. unless you add ALOT of power and/or take away ALOT of weight, it will remain a boat. last thread i saw with you, you did like... a custom intake or something. I really doubt that you're gonna do anything on the 2.3 motor to try to claim you can take anything you put beside it. shiney did a good job with his 2.2, he was spraying and he still only ran a 14 something.

I may be wrong, you may have some crazy swap in the works, but if you're ever out in the area, I'll bring it on. my teg will be waiting, in turns or in a straight line.
