Looking for new headlight bulbs!... perhaps!
Well boys and girls, HID's are out of the question right now because im broke like a joke wearing a tattered cloak.
However, I was wondering what you guys would suggest about replacing the stock bulbs w/some hyperwhite/bluish ones.
Do they work at all? which ones should I be aiming for if they do? Price range? and, most importantly:
If i change the stock bulbs, I want to change the corners and headlights.
How many bulbs will this be in total? From what I can see, in each headlight there are 3 bulbs, and corners have 2 totaling 10. Here's a cheap illustration:
Turn, low beam, and high beam. :::::: ( A ) :::::: High beam, low beam, turn.
low corner light, turn signal. turn signal, low corner light.
I want to change these bulbs and give the car a nicer-than-stock look, but I dont want to be a lighttower signaling ships in from the coast either.
thanks folks,
-Alex

I had PIAA Extreme White before I got my HIDs, they were a lot brighter than stock and had a slight blue tint. I tried the SilverStar you can get at PepBoys, waste of money. I did not like the EuroLight either. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get the PIAA. If you want a lot of blue try to find PIAA Plasma. Check their site for products and then search for the bulbs. There are a lot of discounts.
I put in the corner lights in the head lamps also, $10 or so. and I upgraded the fog lights, all PIAA. Dont do the hi beams unless you use them. I think that mine are on twice a year.
You might think about putting clear corner lights in the front bumper. $25 on e-bay new. I have yellowish bulbs in mine, pretty tight

What Pebe said I have Nokya..changed my corners to amber color bulb and left my turn amber. I tried blue, clear, and amber for the corner lights and like the amber the most.

i have silverstars in my lowbeams, and Nokya's in my fogs.
Nokyas in the fogs look a lot whiter then the lowbeams.
i ttried silverstars in my highbeams, but they ended up yellow just like normal bulbs.

Get the NOKYA Arctic White 100W... Stage II will burn your reflectors. I have clear-corners with PIAA blue and I love them. The only amber I have is for turn signals due to the legal aspect. Take care and good luck... By the way, I bought my bulbs from the local RICER shop. These guys are awesome. Parts all over the place. The 9006 or 9005, I can't remember, the ones for my lowbeam have an L-shaped connector... Any way, they were $26.99 for a pair and the PIAA blues for the corners were $8.95 for a pair.

get the PIAAs. I think they're great. I tried the nokias first since they were cheaper, and I changed them like every 5 or 6 months. Haven't changed my PIAAs yet(going on a year and a half), plus icing on the cake---they are lifetime waranteed. if they ever blow take them back with a receipt.....dope, you save in the long run

I miss stated, the corner bulbs are POLARG M-4s 12v 5w part #P8713W. My apologies for refering to the corner bulbs as PIAAs. But as for the previous link, No, those first bulbs are the correct headlamps, but the corners are a little different. And again, sorry about the miss statement of which bulbs I am using.

9006 100W Nokya Stage II bulbs will NOT burn your reflectors.. unless the install is retarded..
u dont need anything else
just buy 9006 100W Nokya Stage II bulbs and install it...
thats that

This has been discussed almost as much as which gas to use, and if there is any body kits...
BEST BULB/BANG FOR THE BUCK GOES TO:
Nokya. Me and all my friends have the 100w nokya's and we all had no problems. My friends JUST went out 1 yr and 4 months later and he drives at night alot.
IMO, I liked my Nokya bulbs better then my 8000k hid's go figure...
btw, you can order them from here
www.adventon.com
or
www.coolbulbs.com
the bulbs only like 15.00 for the pair. Even if they only last a year still better then paying 80.00 for PIAA's which look piss yellow on the road.
P.S. I got the nokyas in my high beams and that plus my hids looks pretty raw. I wish i never spent the 350.00 for the hids
Nokya > Polarg, Raybrig, PIAA, Silverstars, all the other hyperwhites.

THE MOST IMPORTANT thing about these bulbs is that you do not touch the actual bulb with your fingers. Whenever I put them in i use to wear gloves haha, if you touch them they will burn out alot quicker because of the oil on your fingers.

rodxx, did your friend have any problems with adventon when he ordered them? I know they take about 5-10 business days to arrive. How long did it take you to receive your bulbs (before you bought your HID's ) when you ordered them from coolbulbs?
