im pissed i cant get a hold of the kid with the H22 head, and i have other plans today so i probaly wont be able to take a look at it. but now that i think about it 250 is dirt cheap for a head IMO, i would rather spend more to get a head thats mint.

im not to sure about that, but i think it would make more low end hp and torque. and another question i have is it mandatory to get the P13 computer.

no actually the p72 produces more peak hp but falls on its face @vtec (5500rpm) due to the low fuel maps. you can also use the p28. but p13 is the only ecu thats obd2 and works perfectly with the h22. since the 96 prelude is the only one to come with this ecu its also pretty rare. we lucked out and found one obd2 p13 in the junk yard that happened to be chipped.

This g22/g23 info needs to be gathered fast, so we can all start reading up on it and modding our whips to rock little 3.0's like babies...

I apologise for not getting involved but Iv had issues with my engine
Bro, what can I say?
$250 for a good head is not a bad price. You need to come to the conclusion if your father will allow you to do the work. The whole process wont take a few hours and your car will be in the shop for a few days so he will know.

Will (wilp99) has the best advice when it comes to this. He has been posting about this for a while then did it on a car if im not mistaken. It might turn out to be a lil expensive after you will need to find a 96 USDM LudeVtec ECU. I forget which P it is.

yea so the dude sold the head for 300 bucks, some motherfucker beat me too it. but its not my fault his phone wasnt on when i kept trying to call and i couldnt check it out later in the day, so w/e.

but today i found out one of the mechanics at my job has a friend that has 2 H22a1's sitting in his garage and hes been trying to part them out or sell them whole for some time now. buying one whole sounds tempting, but the head swap is original and i like that fact this swap has a lot of low end power.

Is his H22 blown?
Is it JDM?
I might be interested in buying the whole thing and building it myself if you change your mind on the just the head.

p72 is from a gsr dual runner.. which is why its the next best thing to a p13.. p28 is a vtec ecu but its single runner.

the p13 came in the 92-95 ludes and it was obd1.. the 96 lude was the only one that came with a p13 thats obd2.

remember if you get a p72 get eather an obd1 (recomended) or obd2a, obd2b wont work./ different pinout and it has an immobilizer..
