I had to get a brand new OEM engine harness. The computer wasn't getting full power & everything was just a mess thanks to the obd1 harness that i had hooked up. Either way i got the oem harness cheap since i work at Acura but the bitch is back ordered till 2morrow, which means i wont see it till at least monday. After that though its looking good cuz i got a tech that's a wiring guru that will throw that new harness in and wire up what needs to be done and she should be out of a coma for next week :hyper: ..it's actually disturbing how long this cars been down & how much of a bitch this car has been

i'll snap some pics 2morrow of her just chilling in the lot & then next week when she lives

I'm glad to hear that you're getting the problem fixed. My mechanic cut and spliced my f23 harness and my h23 harness together to make sure everything mated well with the car and the motor.

 

Arber, did u figure out how to fix your idle yet?

question for you and chris: did you guys change ur thottle body? if so, what name brand. some brands like blox tends to stick... and if you go oversize, that could be the cause of your idling problem.

 

mine are stock right now. It was the same with the 70mm IM and throttle body. But they're both skunk2 so I already know its quality and doesnt stick. Its just a wiring issue and the damn brake booster thats keeping me from having those in my engine bay.

 

i have skunk2 as well. mine sticks a lil but i adjusted it. i do think my idle problems are tb related. i also think im running either very lean or very rich. i puff a lot of black smoke. under 2000rpm the car has absolutely no power. machanicaly everything sounds fine. i honestly think a H22 basemap cant handle all the upgrades. i think i've done too much.

on top of everything i have a real mean brake leak. have no clue what it is. my guess is 9 months left something behind. ill check it out later.

 

Black smoke usually means running rich from my experiences. Time to get a damn tune lol. Immediately. Or some basemaps from phearable.net with your specifications

i run rich too, the carbon stain on my bumper is insane. i start getting buildup on the bumper in like 2 days.

 

yah, when i got my catback, it was sparkling clean on the tip. now its pitch black.
when ever some of my friend drive behind me and i punch it, 2 second later, they would call and say..."wtf is going on? i can smell that in my car!"

I went to the beach! So much fun till 25 mexicans sit exacly 2 inches away from you.
Spent $40 on gas, have a huge leak on the ss brake lines, the optima redtop blewup and.... i still need a bad fucking tune. i have absolutely no sensation in my mouth from the battery vapors. I have to demand a better fucking product from gforce brakes cause its the second time their brakes leak. I have to call Optima for their 3 year warranty and I have decided not this saturday but in two weeks I wana get a tune. Im sick of idling at 3k and driving 20min with a 1/4 of the tank disappearing.

 

Oh and i broke the vtec border today. I felt it but still need a tune together with a 99-01 Accord IAT.

Let me know if that 99-01 IAT helps any. My idle is still bouncing from 1500 to 1700 up and down. Its HIGHLY annoying. And when i started and drove my car today, it looked just like my buddy's who had blown his head gasket that i was talking to u about Arber, with a huge cloud of white smoke but it eventually went away. Got to my mechanics and found out there's a coolant leak under my car and my heater core connection hose is loose. Go figure, no wonder theres a cloud of white smoke and a whole resevoir tank of antifreeze gone.

 

I got some stuff achieved.
Optima is shipping me a new battery. They are giving me a yellow top for free cause they are the best.
GForce Brakes apologized a million times. Ill have my ss brake lines shipped first thing tomorrow. They expedited approval from the manufacturer. Ill have em in 3 days.
I still gotta call Xenocron and schedule a tune.

I drove the car today. It started. It gets real hot though. I'm afraid of a fire starting. Well i gunned first gear and vroooooooooooooooooooooom.
I felt vtec really kick in this time. I was niiiiice.
It didn't backfire too bad this time. I feel like the ecu is working things out itself. I still want that tune though.
