A little help please
I'm a newbie to this site, just found it. I've had my car since new and just recently put in the custom exhaust. Is it too late (90,000 miles) to put in an intake like K&N to complement the exhaust? 1stGenCL has 200,000 miles??? You're my hero? Anyone else's CL been good to them?
did lowering your rides affect your ground clearance much? With mine stock I've noticed that I never scrap anything, and that's been the reason I haven't lowered it or thrown a body kit on. Any opinions???
My car is dropped 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the back. My car has been scraped a few times when i'm drunk! You just have to be really careful when you drive. But I got the best handeling ever once i dropped it, plus it looks good
i scrape on occasions but it's all avoidable- ... you just gotta know how to take hills and speed bumps (as fast as possible of course)... I'm still on the stock struts but got new ones- finally- just waiting for a day to put'em in...
No problems yet-
knock on wood.

Had mine for 108,000 miles and Ive only had two problems I completely wear out my tires in less than 40,000 miles and old people keep backing into it. As far as Im conserned when my engine finally dies I'll just buy whatever the biggest 4 cyl DOHC engine honda makes with the most Hp and slap it in there.
I have complete faith in Honda engines. I had an 87 integrea that lasted for 270,000 miles despite me driving the absolute shit out of it for 5 years since the day I got my learners permit. I sold it back in 2000 to a friend for $800 and the only reason it died was he tried to do a burn out in reverse by reving to 6,000 and then droping it into first. Basically two connecting rods broke twisted or did something and scraped the crap out of the block.

It's good to hear that my dream of 200K isn't off base. Gotta love these Honda engines. What can I do about upgrading my low end rpms?? It's all high-end, no complaints though, 130 mph sure beats having a domestic with a governor
-Venom 400 from $240-$300 (dont pay more than 300)
-Denzo Iridiums $11-$15 (I'd say this is better for gas mileage than horsepower but if your engine has 90,000 miles your due for new spark plugs anyway)
-Underdrive Pulleys are a must. AEM or Unorthodox are you best bet. Prices vary
-Lightened flywheel I saw one on no-limit-enterprises that was pretty damn cheap (cheap means less than $500)
-AEM Cam Gear SpeedandStyle.com is selling them for $109 and thats unheard of. I'd get that before they realize that they can sell them for $160 like everybody else.
-Intake - Take your pick $40-$220
-Header - DC sports makes some for the 94-97 accord which fits the 2.3 so it might fit your 2.2
-Catback - Take your pick tend to be arond $400-$1200
-New wires - Magnecor, Nology, or OBX. I prefer nology others like Magnecor, I dont know much about OBX but they have 13mm wires and thats friggin huge.
-New intake manifold around $500 for the Venom one
-APexi VAFC (you can change your VTEC setting and we all know VTEC=The cars balls)
Theres a nice little performance wish list to get you started oh yeah I forgot nitrous
