Lip kit

Well I called autoaportz.com and was ordering the acura cl front lip with the accord agressor 95-96 rear lip when the guy told me that the rear lip 95-96 did not make sense becuase 95 and 96 are two different models. What year is exactly the rear lip of the accord that would be easier to modify and also if its 2 door or 4door?

pic of rear lip I want, plz help me out

From what I remember...
Theres the 94-95 rear lip.... and then theres the 96-97 rear lip.
Thus...if im correct...the models did change between 95 & 96.

I think both should be able to fit though.

I think Nippon_Wa had the 94-95 style
Klepto has the 96-97 style rear lip

There are different types, I believe klepto's fits 94-97 whereas you can get 95-96 like nippon had, they both will fit but both need modified. The 95-96 is for the wagon i believe.

Are they selling just the rear lip? They have only the whole kit listed on their site?

I thought there wasnt really much customizing? I didnt think Klepto or Nippon had to cut it in half and mold it back...?...I thought they just stuck it on the bumper and slid it up or down to get it just right...?...am i wrong?

Did u guys have to cut them in 1/2 and mold them back??

this is serioulsy liky my 20th time saying it.

I had to cut out 2" from the middle and bond it back. Nippon didnt, but his sits much higher up on the bumper than mine. VXCL, baka_t, and reminxzza (forgot the actual spelling) all had theirs cut and bonded back as well

You HAVE to cut, that's why I didn't want that lip, cuz it already needs filled in like klepto's and didn't wanna cut it too. G'luck with it CJ

Im going for a whole different look. Well i hope no one has it like this.

-Molding front lip to bumper
-molding rearlip to bumper and mold the rear bumper to body
-molding side skirts to the body
-getting fender flares and molding all the way to the front lip to the rear lip but being cut off in the front bumper so in case I need to take out the front bumper there will be no problem
-so basically everything molded except the front bumper to body.

What you guys think?

Well crap. I know i gotta cut out the honeycomb crap...but i really didnt want to have to cut it in 1/2 and bond/mold it back together....crrappp Maybe I can just F* with it on the bumper to make it fit...(like Nippon_Wa)
Otherwise, I guess i better start reading on how to do this...cuz theres nooo way in hell im payin a bodyshop to do anything other than paint....

(if u dont remember...they wanted $300 to install the damn CF hood.... So theres nooo way in hell im letting them do anything elce besides shootin some paint....I'll install and do the rest.

G'luck, klepto paid i think 4-500 (he can clarify) for this to be fit to his bumper. But if you can get it to fit w/o that would be cool. G'luck

I still can't believe taht place tried charging $300 to install the fawkin hood, took me like 15 mins with a friend.

I just don't like how he filled in the turn sigs, cuz it looks less like a CL, but it's good body work nonetheless

I paid $350 for paint, customization and install. But that was somewhat hookup price. I took it to a few other shops. One quoted me $600, another $500 and another wouldnt even do it because they couldnt gaurentee that it wouldnt crack down the line

I thought VXCL had the 96-97 Lip like Klepto....and Nato has the 94-95 Wagon Style??

We really need to make a list of who has what type...and how they modded & installed it.

VX was a wagon rear, certainly wasn't the same as klepto.

crraappp...so out of all the rear lips....I finally find one and get it...and its the hardest to mod and install...

I wonder If I could just cut the ends of this one...not have to cut the middle...
