Legend Caliper
Legend Caliper
So my front brakes are beyond the recommended service level and from rotors are wrapped and rusted. Since I have to change them both, might as well add an extra bonus and change out the calipers for the Legend 2-piston caliper.
Where are you guys getting these from? Acuraoemparts.com or ebay doesn't seems to have these?

They are tough to find, you can get them from autozone with a core charge. I got mine from a TL owner on here, just picked my set up last week
Got the legend-II calipers, was holding out for the NSX but got a better deal on the Legends. You can also get 95 NSX dual pistons, they're the same calipers but have NSX stamped on them. Also there are a LOT of brake caliper vendors on ebay but most of them charge a core charge, but I've seen them on ebay a few times, just didn't have the money at the time. Got my set without a core charge so it worked out well. Note also, if you don't have a 3.0 you have to get the 3.0 caliper brackets to mount them to, they dont' mount up on the 2.x brackets.

Another thread, Lengend caliper w/ prelude rotors, lists all the parts needed for a 2.3 conversion.
Having a 3.0, I guess I can get away with less. So it looks like, Prelude rotors (Brembo Blanks), Legend calipers, Legend Brake Pads. Any modifications needed to the stock brake lines or is it a direct fit?

Plus he had to pay for the puke clean up after seeing that Pink CL. Randon pics and update on car
Well after weeks of receiving incorrect and incomplete boxed parts I finally got these bad boys installed.
Here a picture of the old and new rotors and calipers. Top is the 95 Prelude VTEC rotors with 95 Legend Sedan GS Dual Piston Caliper. Bottom is the old stuff.
Working with a 98 3.0, the 95 Prelude VTEC rotors can be put on, but the mounting screws don't like up. If you have a 3.0, I say stick with stock rotors. The Prelude rotors are 0.02mm larger in diameter than the 3.0 stock. The minuscule difference does not create enough advantage for misaligned mounting holes.
Legend Caliper and 3.0 CL Brembo blanks installed.
Plenty of clearance using the stock wheels.
I haven't got a change to try it out, since I was in the middle of replacing my blown struts. Unfortunately, I broke the bottom bolt attaching the strut to the knuckle. A week of soaking all that rust in WD-40, gone to waste.
I was going to cut the welded nut on the strut off using my Dremel. Of course with my luck, the diamond cut attachment broke before I could even attempt a cut. Gotta go to Home Depot tomorrow for car supplies.
The other side bolt is loose, but it gets stuck after a while. I am concerned to continue to turn it and have it snap as one side already. I even tried using an impact wrench with no luck. If you guys have any suggestions, send it over, it will be greatly appreciated.
