So the other day i noticed my car stero was souding, shitty. So i used the fade controls to see if i had any blown speakers and i noticed that my right front speaker and tweeter were alot quiter then my right side, alot to the point where i could barley hear it. i figured i'd blow the speaker since i've still got the bose speakers in with a (temporary) p.o.s. sony head unit. But when i went to change the spearker with another it sounded even worse. So idk, should i just re-wire the whole thing? is it my head unit?

 

Are you still running everything through the Bose AMP in the trunk? I remember the Alpine head unit, I am using, sounded significantly better after removing the AMP.

 

i know this is going to make me sound like a complete moron, but. There's a bose amp in the trunk? im guessing mines been removed, or i really am a complete moron.

 

yeah there is. the bose systems come with an integrated amp.

 

Yeah there isnt one in my trunk. Guess they took it out for some reason.

 

If you don't have the premium bose, then you don't have an amp. Which makes your life easier, cuz you just have to rewire to the head unit.
