Left drive axle "slop"?
Hi, all.
I just had my wife's 1997 2.2Cl up on a lift to change the oil. While it was up, the guy working on the car showed me that the left drive axle (to the wheel) seems to be sliding back and forth (left and right, that is) a bit less than a quarter inch. The right is nice and tight though! Oh, boy ...
What causes this and what is the fix and how much is it going to cost?

if it doesent "click" when ur turning. i wouldnt worry about it.. if u wanted to be on the safe side and fix it they run bout 100$ for parts, and about 50$ for labor. but i would go to an empty parking lot and roll the windows down and turn in circles as far as the wheel wil go. do it left and right. if u hear clicking then replace it. let me know wazup!!
