A Large Favor to Ask you 1st Gen Guys
Ok guys, here's the deal. I found a ridiculous deal on a set of rims and tires. The rims are 18x7.5 giovanni nagano with 225/40/18 toyo proxes FZ4 tires. I found a set for $225 picked up which is insane, I looked them up and a new set of 17's wrapped in some crappy tires were going for 1100 so this deal is obscene. Im not in love with the wheels, but need something cheap for this summer so I have a wider wheel to drive on.
Anywho, the problem is that these are in MD, and I am in CT, which is too far to drive for me right now. What I was wondering is if anyone that is about an hour north of MD would be willing to go pick up the wheels for me and then at a later date, drive about an hour or 100 miles north of where you live for me to come pick up the rims. I know I am asking alot, but I will pay for your gas most definitely and would really appreciate this if anyone could help me out.
This would be in a couple of weeks that you would go get the wheels, assuming the guy will hold them that long for me, and then I would be able to come get them the following week from you. I know you are all thinking, why don't you just get the wheels shipped? Well, the guy selling them is a new member on the board, and with an object this big, and not seeing any of his vouches, I would really rather pick them up so I know where my money is going exactly.
So if anyone would be available to do this I would be sooooooo appreciative! Thx guys!

If it was this weekend, then I might be able to do it. I have to go to queens NY to get my set of rims soo me shooting to MD then to queens is not that big of a deal...

artbran- it cant be this weekend, I dont even have the money altho I will be home which blows, maybe I'll be able to get the money by then, queens would only be a 2 hour drive for me which would be awesome. I'll have to see, I'll keep you posted.

lol, I'm not lookin to use someone, makie them think they are getting something out of it, I'm just looking for some help since it isn't feasable for me to drive all the way to MD.

ummm ill entertain the idea. but like i said entertain.
not a fan of giovanni's though. got any pictures.
but that seriously isnt too far. depending where you are in CT and where this is in MD, new jersey will be the longest part of your drive. i would consider driving if i were you.

Im not a big fan either, but they are really jsut going to be serving the purpose of giving me a wider wheel with a decent tire, I'll probably keep them for a year and then resell but I could probably resell them for what I pay for them if not a bit more so it's a win-win situation. I did a mapquest and from my house in CT to the middle of maryland is 6 hours or 360 miles, which I know my parents will not let me drive, and I dont want to pay this guy on paypal and then get screwed and have to go through the whole deal w/ filing a claim to paypla as they are being assholes lately to others with the same problem. I'd really appreciate it if you could do this for me, it wouldnt be for a couple of weeks tho. Thx!

ahhh there not too bad actually

I would prefer not to lie to my parents b/c if god forbid something happens and they need to come to where I am, they will find out that I lied and I'll lose they're trust for a long ass time. I've thought of tons of excuses that would work but I just dont want to put them through that if I can find someone here to help me out instead.

He will ship and it has nothing to do with the price of shipping, since gas is gonig to cost me just as much. My issue is that I dont necessarily trust the guy since he's a brand new member on that forum, has no vouches, and this deal is almost too good to be true. I'd rather have someone I trust on here grab them for me instead.

guys, the guy says he can hold them for me, I jsut have to keep him updated and I'm finding out where in maryland he is, I asked if he was willing to drive up to NJ to meet up with someone, so maybe someone in the middle of NJ can help me out with this. Thx

so who would be willing to do this? It's probably be next weekend, between the 6-8 of april. I am assuming someone in central new jersey would be the best bet, I think the guy would be willing to bring the wheels over the new jersey border. And I'd be able to meet up with you in northern NJ around Paterson, NJ or even farther south. So if someone lives in or around trenton, that could do this I would be so grateful. I'll give you gas money and a little extra for your time so please let me know. Thx

972xghost- where your at, South Amboy is about 110 miles from the border between NJ and MD, if your willing to do that, I'll meet you right at your house, no extra driving for you. I'd also pay all gas and give you some extra for your time. Let me know if you think you'd be able to do this for me.
