Hey guys! Newby to this place. Anywayz str8 2 the point. Anyone tell me why car is being so sluggish during acceleration? Is carbon tracking the culprit? Car feels like lag when gas is pressed on.

 

well give us some info...what kind of CL do u have? auto or manual...?...put in in 3rdf gear and floor it from 35mph or around 55 mph...

otherwise, our cars wernt made to be fast....their fancy

 

our cars can be fast! with the typical CAI, catback exhaust and headers, the 3.0Cl is a VERY quick car on the street!

 

Yeah, what's your idea of "lagging"? Mine lags when I'm cruising around 40-50mph and my shifter is in fourth, then trying to accelerate and waiting for that kick down....so I always keep it in 3rd unless I'm going over 60.

 

Two words.... NO TORQUE!

 

My CL is a 97 3.0. Automatic of course... Definition of lag, the car pauses for a bit then shoots forward upon acceleration...

 

Well I know why my (2.2) lags, its cause its slow Its ok though, I didnt buy this car to race
