I have a big problem... 3 of my 4 tires have bulges that look like a small golfball under the sidewall... anyone have any idea of what caused this? Someone told me that Kuhmo tires are notorious for doing this. I spoke with the place that I bought them from and they said "If it is a flaw in the tire.... we will replace them, if it is from 'road hazards' then it is not covered..." I have only had them about 2 months & they have less than 4k miles on them.... any ideas ??:angry:

 

yeah... i hear that blistering is a problem with kumho's.

try to get them replaced under warranty....otherwise you gotta buy new tires......

 

update.... turns out that I bent the shit out of my left front rim... you know those big silver bumps that they put inbetween lanes to keep you from switching lanes, well I hit those with my left side @ about 55 MPH & ruined one of my rims & 2 tires.... another $670 down the drain...

 

Man that fucking sucks...I had to pay for 2 new tires cuz I drive "aggresively"....thought the tires would be under warranty, but the place wouldn't accept it...

Man...you guys are getting me really worried about getting my rims and drop. I too drive pretty aggressively. Guess I'll have to be careful.

 

yeah be careful, i dropped my car and its been about a year now.. i'm on my third set of tires. pisses the shit out of me. kuhmo's are no good, they are too fragile of tires

 

I curbed on of my rims on the 4th, and it took a small chunk out of my sidewall! :'(

Overall, I like the tires, but I was surprised to see the damage after such a light "curbing"!

 

KuhMos SUCK! My next set is going to be Toyo Proxes. All low profile tires are going to be prone to blistering, but Kuhmos are the worst! Oh well, guess I learned the hard way... and a small piece of advice... pay the extra money & get the road hazard warranty, that way if they blister you wont totally be screwed. I just got the warranty with my new tires and the way it works is they are replaced FREE for the first 50% of the tread life, then pro rated after that.... peace.

 

i've got toyo proxes FZ4 and i really recommend them. excellent traction in wet and dry pavement - just need to warm them up to get the best traction, but that's with any tire out there....had them for about 5 months now and absolutely no complaints!
