I took a quick vid the other day. Installed an intake and a chip. The chip gives +100hp/tq for $500 it pulls like a mofo now.

and the intake is awesome, you can really hear the turbos spool now, I'm in love

Lol you mean hear the "turbo" spool, N55's are twin scroll single turbo instead of the twin turbo setup that was on the N54's. Either way, car is gotdamn sweet lol. What chip did u get? Be careful with those, we've been having cars come in lately with CEL's related to aftermarket chips sending the car into limp mode.

i do mean turboS the 335is still comes with the N54, the N55 was used in the regular 335 for 2011. BMW chose to stick with the N54 in the 335is since they already knew how to tune it.

I got my chip from burgertuning, no issues so far and I don't think I've heard of any issues with it but I will keep an eye out

Sick car man.. Really makes me want to get one (not new of course).. Just so happens I am in the market for a car..

Please don't go as low as your CL.. As much as I loved your CL, there is a point where it is too low..

indeed it is. Dinan's a bit overpriced IMO. I already have the burgertuning chip that puts out the same #'s for cheaper. Putting out 400+hp/tq

Dinan is warranty safe in most cases though. Then again you have connections at the dealership so if something happens u might be ok lol

haha yea I'll be fine as I know the techs

I heard BMW dropped the warranty on Dinan parts. At least I know my dealership doesn't cover it. Either way most of the chips for the 335 are easily removed and you can clear any codes from the ECU

Lol its funny u say that...we have a 335i coupe at the shop right now sitting disassembled because the owner had a JB4 tune, over revved the car and bent the valves. He then proceeded to removed the tune, and clear the codes and attempted to start the car a few times so all we saw were the codes for the car not starting. After scanning the car, it had faults for the crank/no start issue but that was it. BMW NA had us hook the car up to the computer, send FASTA data then they sent an RTE out to manually scanned the car from NA headquarters and found that the car had been reflashed more than once with non BMW software, and the real cause of the engine failure was that the car had been overrevved/moneyshifted, and that the car had the faults and data deleted the day before it was brought in. Thus the vehicle no longer has a warranty and BMW is not replacing the engine for free, plus dude has to pay for the hours of diagnosis. Quick way to lose ur ass on a 50k car.

Moral of the story, be careful bro. If BMW NA or if an RTE scans the car the "black box" section of the dme records all the parameters that the faults were detected/occured at and if they aren't plausible to factory settings as almost all piggyback /reflashes are not, it throws the red flag. BMW developed software to detect mods/reflashes after the 1st generation of 335's were coming in with issues and they couldn't detect what was going on and had to pay out on engine/turbo jobs.

He denied it till we showed him the info on the laptop right in front of him. He then proceeded to call his insurance company LOL

Just don't blow the car up and you should be fine lol, they usually only go to that extent when the head, block, or tranny are damaged, or its a reoccuring turbo issue.

Damn, the TL is paid so I'm getting a german (BMW or AUDI) toy SOON. The electrical and turbo probs scare me though. The E46 SMG I also heard horror tranny stories. I'm looking at the 335's, E46 convertible or something in the S line for audi's. In all how is she treating you?

Did a poker run w/my friend last night that owns a 335 sedan w/jb4, downpipes, charge pipes, blow off valve, and meth. It was seriously a neck exercise to keep my head off the headrest when he hit the gas full throttle. I knew they were fast cars but gotdamn, his car pulls like a freight train. Ate a c6 vette, Pontiac G8 and an e92 M3 pretty easily. AND we won 3rd place w/our Poker hand lol.
