kick panels?

kick panels?

i just bought my 97 3.0 cl after my civic got destroyed by a dodge stratus.and i was wondering if you guys could give me advice on where to mount my speakers. i have a boston acoustics 3-way set and i dont know if i should just buy some kick panels or go with something a little more custom

are you just replacing the stock speakers or are you adding these babd-boys in addition to what you already have?

the speakers are part of the system i had in my civic which is also going in the cl
3 jl audio 10w6v2 in a sealed box
alpine cd player (already installed)
xtant 1001 for the subs
xtant 604 for the mids and highs
boston acoustics pro 6.5 3way(tweeter,4" midrange,6.5"midbass,and crossovers)

I would go with a custom kick panel for your three ways. I have my tweet and mids in a kick, and the midbass in the door...

How much of a pain in the ass is it to take off the door panel? I'm thinkin' of taking the infinity's out of my ol' Civic.

99cl did you have a shop make your kick panel or did you do it yourself

My brother's friend made them for me on his day off. He's an installer at a shop.

Putting them back on the first 1 or 2 times suck, but then u get the hang of it, i've put mine back on a bunch of times. Door panel's easier to take off than taking the console out. If the magnets are too large for the stock location, just dremel the very bottom piece of the grommet out of the back. Here's all i had to remove to make mine fit, just the lip.
