hi im new here heard about this site through a friend who has an acura tl....well i just got an acura cl like 5 mths ago last week while on the highway there was no traffic but the road was slippery and someone braked hard in front of me suddenly and i ended up rear ending him....good for him he had a land crusier so nothing happened to his car but my air bags deployed and my hood is up from the hit...funny thing is when the cops came and treid to get us to the side he left so the cop said we dont have to do an accident report since i have liability and it will count aganist me........but im sad about my cl it was a dream fast smooth with 96,000 miles not sure wat to do with it now

ummm, SHIT........ kinda brings me back though, thats what my CL did to a Camry when she rear ended me at 45...., i drove off with just a hanging bumper and a slightly bent trunk lid, and that silly Toyota was in shambles

If you play your cards right you might make out like a bandit.

If you want another cl here's one option:
I would try to buy yours back from insurance if possible/if they total it(usually $500-$1000). Now with the extra $$$ buy mine for $2700.Most of the minor stuff my car needs is prob still good on yours and uneffected by your accident such as a batt,a winsheild,o2 etc. you'll end up with a nicely modded 3.0 and a spare one for parts when/if needed. depending on how mechanically inclined you are and how much ins gives you might actually pocket some $$$. just wanted to throw that out there............

one problem though. he didnt have collision. so its basically still his car, he doesnt have to buy it back from anyone..

you might have a good idea though... since hes already got the wrecked CL , he could buy yours and use his old for parts... pretty sure his old car only had like 90k on it or so, so probably some good drivetrain/engine and exterior shit left over... just my

my car was rear ended my car was totaled as of yesterday buyback was $1000, you coulda bought it and swapped everythin....i passed taking the money and not looking back

 

i dont have collision like blackura said but ill still look into mabye still try and take urs and maybe move my parts into ur car im gonna talk to my mechnic and see what the cost would be to do something like that and hopefully we could work something out but ill defiantly have you in mind and get back to you

I know, I'm sorry. I just really get tired of my turn signal being pushed inside my bumper. I have yet to have been able to find one at the junk yard.

 

If you can't get ahold of one chris, I'm making an order to ack automotive in a couple weeks, I'll get ya one and send it to ya.
