Oil pan gasket, under $50 unless there's a damn good reason why it should be more.
Inner axle boot, well an axle will run about $70, when I ran a auto store, we never sold the axle boots cause out dustributors didn't carry them.
Alternator and power steering belt, about half the price you posted.
Battery, for that price it better be an Optima.

Want me to get you an actual quote shipped to you? What's your area code? Although a battery I would just go anywhere else to get, it won't be worth shipping a battery. Also I need to know if you're auto/manual/ and which 2.x or 3.0 and which year just in case

2.2 CL - those were prices including labor - are these relatively easy fixes? Or should I just shop around...? Also is it okay to drive with these issues for a bit while I figure out my course of action? Thanks,

Wes

If your oil pan gasket is leaking, you will have to make sure you keep oil in it, otherwise you could drive with it, $130 for a regular battery? I paid $140 for my optima yellow top

How much should these repairs cost - including labor?

well belts like 20 bucks at most and labor for that well maybe another 50 or less its not that difficult to take of the belts not sure if there is a DIY but there is a bolt on the alternator and power steering pump so you could adjust it to take off the belt.

Here's the breakdown they gave me:

Oil pan gasket $39 - Install $192
Half Shaft Axle $120 - Install $108
Belts $30, $25 - Install $60
Battery $110 - Install $36

Which ones are reasonable and which ones should I attempt myself? (thinking the battery can be done pretty easily...)

belst are easy to man, you could save more money there to and oil pan gasket, just make sure to go in a criss-cross pattern when tighting the bolts back up if you do it, and axle, well you could get it cheaper and have them install it but also not that difficult but maybe the most hard out of all of those

Battery is a DIY no question. The belts aren't too terribly difficult, just make sure you don't over/under tighten them.

How hard is the gasket? I'm thinking that and the axle are going to have to be done at a shop - I may be the author of the CAI install DIY for this site but I'm no mechanic...

well on the gasket I think you have to take off the brace thats under there not sure though,I havent changed it on the CL but other than that its only like 15-16 small bolts and thats it, I think but anybody who has done it or has a pic of the oil pan would be able to show it

It's not so much the parts I'm worried about, but rather the labor - do any of the parts quotes seem out of line? If you have a hookup I'd definitely be interested...

maybe the other guys, but Winston came over from Tech 3 performance and i used to go over there for the last year or so and i continue to see Winston because he knows his stuff and is a hard worker.

@Wes: yea man just give him a call, i think it's well worth the drive. i drive from san leandro out to san jose. i trust Winston, plus he'll use all OEM parts, not like places that i've been to before, i had him replace everything back to OEM

What should I expect to pay for a battery?

Kragen wants $180 for a optima red top and $210 for a yellow top - where should I be looking? Go with OEM or is there a better/cheaper option?

One of the service people i spoke with when calling around said i needed to find out where it was leaking from because i might need to replace the oil pan too!? can anyone with experience on this chime in? I don't want to drop $200 to replace the oil pan gasket and find out I have to add another $300 pan.
