Just did my first engine mod

Just put on my AEM CAI last night....honestly I thought it would be much easier! The instructions that came with the CAI weren't too bad...but they weren't the most detailed either. I had a question. When the stock intake is on....there's that hose that connects from the valve cover to the that metal tube that has two tubes welded together then goes into the intake pipe. What'd you guys do with that dual metal pipe? I know the top pipe connects the hose from the valve cover to the intake, and I'm guessing the bottom pipe transfers coolant?? is it? For now, I just connected the hose from the valve cover to my CAI and left the metal pipe and hanging in there, since I didn't want to disconnect whatever's running through the bottom pipe. Anybody know what I'm talkin about? If not, I'll try to get a hold of a digital camera and post it soon. Sorry for the long post, thanks for your help....

Coolant does run through there if it's the same one I am thinking about. You may want to double check when you go back to your car next time.
