I know I haven't seen anybody do this, it would cool if you be the first and give us the results but I do hope you get it, sounds promising.

It looks to be somewhat like a VAFC except it doesn't have VTEC adjustment. Just another worthless piggyback tuning gadget.

LOL check this out. http://www.jetchip.com/imports.asp

What will it do for my vehicle?
The upgrade will provide horsepower increases and improved acceleration. Unlike other brands JET's exclusive Dynamic Spectrum Tuning (DST) provides power increases all the time, NOT just at wide open throttle. In addition, by having the computer in our lab, the JET engineers can custom program the chip for any other modifications you have done to the vehicle.
So basically, you tell them what mods you have on your car, send in your ECU to JET, where the engineers then program it. So they don't need your car or a dyno to tune it. These guys are badass.

I had a JET chipped ECU for my 88 CRX Siw/ ZC swap way back in the day, before the Ebay chips and shit like that. Like 95-96 era. I can honestly tell you that the only thing it really did was remove the rev limiter. Times have changed and obviously so has technology so i'm sure it's better now. JET has been around forever and i would think that 40 years in the tuning biz makes them pretty legit. i say try it out.

For $250, you be better of converting to OBD1 and getting Crome Pro or spend a little more and get Hondata. There are no good tuning options for our OBD2 cars.

I remember reading a thread on some other honda forum, don't remember which (probably HT) where a 99 v6 accord had great results with that. Obviously it's not the best way to go, but it was cheap and simple and did what he wanted. I wouldn't do it, but for some people it makes sense.

I don't know what thread you're referring to, so I can't comment on that. How was it tuned? On a dyno, or did he mail in his ECU? What kind of mods did he have? Did he have a baseline to compare the results to? It doesn't sound all that cheap to me considering dyno time usually costs 80-$100 per hour or something like a flat fee of $400 for a street tune plus wide open throttle.

I've never been interested in Honda V6's, so maybe they can be tuned with type of device. For the 4 cylinders, these JET modules and VAFC's use electronic trickery to fool the ECU into thinking it has more or less air, which the ECU then compensates by adding the appropriate fuel. Certainly not ideal, but can give the average bolt-on enthusiast a reason to spend a couple hundred dollars.

dug it up http://www..com/showthread.php?t=1317688
(i was correct about it being HT, so add in the appropriate url)
don't feel like going through all 7 pages again but in his first post these are the results he claimed
Pretty sure he posted dyno results in the there too.
For $220 it's not bad

You were right, he did see gains. I just don't like how he shows it with typed up time slips. I guess if you're looking for a budget tuning device for your daily driver, this product fills the void.

I'd rather spend the extra money on a standalone OBD1 ROM editor with dyno numbers to back it up.

I am curious as to how they get the ECU to stick with the new tune, instead of ignoring it after so many miles. That's part of the problem with these OBD2 cars.

I'd just go w/phearable instead of JET. Guaranteed to actually have a useful basemap, with crome and neptune on the ecu.
