ipod connection?

does a 8-pin connector work with a stock head unit?

Unless its specifically made for your stock deck, no it wont work. Not saying that it wont fit, but it probably wont work.

If you're talking about the 8 pin Din connector then yes it should work. I have my iPod connected to my stock unit using the 8 pin DIn on the back of my HU for the cd changer. FYI, I'm using the USA-Spec PA11-HON for the iPod connection.

I have a LINE-IN on the front of my head unit. Man I can plug in my ipod, xm, a laptop... even my old cassette walkman. No problem.

Yes but mine can charge my iPod and I can control volume and skip and FF through songs using the HU controls and the steering wheel controls and it's definitely better than an FM modulator. Also it has a line connection also so if I want to I could plug any other electronics into it like my PSP, or walkman, etc.

if you use the charger aux plug it'll work
