intake pipe size

Any of you guys know the optimum diameter of tubing to use for a Custom short ram intake? Gonna try to fabricate my own and stick a K&N cone on the end of it. Also, how many ports should there be for the vaccum lines. Thanks alot.

2.x. think it would be "bigger the better"? Or should I just do it the same size as the t-body?

Anybody got any pics of their short rams on the 2.x? Just for reference on length and positioning, and what lines need to hook to it.

uh yup, but you're better off using the piping diameter to avoid leaks and filters falling off

The filter should just barely slip over the intake tubing. I'd be afraid of putting a filter that's .25" too big because it might slip off. If you can tighten the hell out of it, it might work.

It's 3".
Just get a 3" tube. or just get a Bomz Racing intake.
I have a brand new, never used, 3" K&N cone air filter for $30 shipped.

my aem sri looks kinda thin compared to alot of other intakes out there for our cars. i guess it was made that way for a reason.
