Intake noise question

installed my short ram today. Can't even hear it unless I gettin on it. Overall happy but I'm hearing a strange noise...not the sucking noise but more like a whiste. it's sporatic though. Only initally when I hit the gas goin up in the rpm's. Hope that it goes away. It's not that bad.

Anyone's intake whistle??

mine whistles and almost sounds like a blow off valve when i let off the gas in the rpms. also at idle it makes a strange, sorta loud huming noise.

I've had plenty of intakes and the humming I can deal with. I hope the whistle does go away. I'm pretty sure it will.

It's like a tuning fork, the vibration and resonance from the manifold/tb are vibrating and causing the aluminum tube to amplify the sound like a pipe organ, plastic doesn't resonate sound the same way as the aluminum

Under the hood does need a cleaning...I focus more on cleaning the outside. I wash her at least once a week, weather permitting

but no one can contest... Nothing beats a freshly washed black car. I always wanted a black car to get that showroom shine. Now I have one and it's a damn good thing that I like washing it.
