ebay intake + K/N filter

when doing the smog just put back the stock intake. take about 5 mins to do it.

There is no way to get what a G35 sounds like unless you get a VQ engine. plus no 4 cylinder will sound like that.

Get a G35 or maybe record the exhaust from a G35. Please a speaker next to your exhaust and turn up the volume.

I also got an ebay CAI with a K&N cone filter. Sounds great when you get on it. Good luck!

yes, there is the hum, and there's the whistle (at least on mine). at about 3k its whistling until I stop accelerating. I've tried everything and it's always there. People think my belt is slipping, which is rather ridiculous.

However personally I don't like cold air intakes. Between how dirty I see them get and the possiblity of hydrolock, I'll stick to SRI. I just like not having to worry at all about it. and I know they have CAI with an anti hydrolock device, but then your talking a bit more money

i gots an S.R.I. and she humz at idle and whisltes when throttle up. its the resonance of the design of the throllal body and intake, the design just creates a whisle,.... i personally kinda like it and dont mind. nothing is wrong, in fact quite opposit, your floodinf the engine with air,.. good things happen then.

n e way, when you remove the complete air box it opens up the inside fender, buy some aluminum sheet at canadian tire for $10 and you can fad a super light weight heat deflector

I agree, it means it's in the power band. It gets annoying occasionally, but mostly I dont like idiots accusing me of having a slipping belt. Good to know someone else has the whistle.

I also like the noise when you turn the car off, and the intake blows back a bit or something of that sort. Sounds like its exhaling. only way I can describe it, happened with my 4 bangers but the with the 6 it's very pronounced.

In fact these reasons are why I never bothered with an exhaust, the stock one sound okay on mine and the intake sounds like a chorus when vtec hits.

I have a CAI and love the sound it produces especially when vtec hits. I have to tell you guys that today was the first real rain I've driven in since installing it and it was pouring! The longest 1 hour ride of my life I think. I kept picturing the engine just stopping everytime i hit a puddle lol! The f'd up part is the AEM bypass valve I bought is still in my trunk uninstsalled. Needless to say I'll be installing it Teusday after the rain stops!

$50 to not ruin my engine was worth it, got caught in a hurricane and the road flooded out, thing worked like a charm and I did not hyrdolock. Frankly, I think it's the only way to go, I too started with the hum from an SRI
