what exactly am i taping? which parts of the lip? also, what kind of 3m tape, i've used all kinds, i have some 3m thin white double sided tape, i have some double sided that is grey in color, pretty sticky and plasticky with a red peel off, and i have some other 3m double sided tape that seems to have a foam or paper center, green peel off

will this hold the lip up strong?

it should the one with the green peel off i think....but put it in a few spots on the inside of the lip....then..when youve got it lined up take the other side off and stick it to the bumper then screw the sides in after that....

listen.....use the GREY 3m tape.....and line the whole inside lip right where it meets the bumper...the top edge.......then right before you take it on....use some mineral spirits and wipe down the area where the tape is gonna stick to....let that dry for a few minutes then just stick it on......it will hold....then just use one or two screws on either end to screw it tot he bumper
