Inspection coming up soon..
Just a couple questions, what are the main things I should swap out before the inspection? Are my clear corners going to be alright or should I put the amber corners back on? Now i understand every guy you go to is different but what kind of problems have you experienced? I've heard they dont even like aftermarket headlight bulbs. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

That's some
about the light/corners...
Things like headers, non-CARB'd intakes you should look at before inspection. Of course if your exhaust system is over 95 db and the smog is through the roof then you're gonna fail....

Shit man, I had to replace my stock headlights for my nokya's, my ambers had to be reinstalled to even pass inspection. Depends on the guy, I passed in July at a different guy with tail light tint, tinted windows, clears, and many other mods, just depends on where you go and who you know. If I were you, I'd put the ambers back on, but you stripped your screw, so just try it, if they bitch, take them the ambers, that's what I did. Where u takin it anyway foo?

Low and Slow
I've had trouble with my clear corners when it comes to inspection. They've told me that I needed to have amber bulbs, or that clear corners lights were actually illegal in tx. What a load of bull...

And yeah, yearly inspection..blahh. I think I'm just going to Firestone near where I live. It's where my parents go and I talked to the guys before about window tint and said they didnt care, its the cops job, not theirs. So oh well, I guess we'll see.

If they don't care about window tint, they shouldn't care about your clears. It's like this for all the cali people that don't understand. We have a yearly "safety inspection" and emisisions inspection. The state safety inspection is what he's worrying about, but like I said it all depends on who does the inspection. You can get hit on the clear corners because they don't have the OEM stamp on them, like the ambers and stock headlights. They also check your headlights and brake lights, for example my nokya's were too high of a wattage to pass. If they don't care about tint at firestone, hopefully they just dont' care about clears, the last place i went didn't care about any of it, and just inspected my brakes, tires, etc.
