indiglo gauge question

i got a set of gauges used. they are the blue/green indiglos for the 94-97 accord, and after hooking them up they are not working. unfortuneately, the guy I bought them from also bought them used but never hooked them up so he had no ideas. I hooked them right, or at least i am pretty sure I did. It's wired up into the dimmer harness with no results. the set came with a seperate little on/off switch besides the control module that is attached to the transformer, but it still had the tops on the wires giving me the impression they had never been used. Does anyone have any ideas? If it is the on/off switch, I don't even know what I would hook it up to anyway. there are only two wires coming out of the back of the transformer so this shouldn't be this difficult. Hopefully someone can help me out.
p.s.
It is not a problem with the dimmer switch or it's power because for now, I disconnected the indiglos and hooked up the old stuff so I can see at night.

make sure you grounded the one and supply power to the other, just plug it straight into your fuse panel to see if they work, bypass the dimmer switch. Good luck

I tapped into the dimmer switch wires. I soldered mine to assure a good connection. I have mine up for 2 months no problems. I would make sure the brain isn't bad and like pennykmpr said hook them up directly to your fuse block. Also the gauges do burn out. Check your connections its usually always the problem.

Plug it into the fuse block. If they work no problems if not break out the electrical tester...
