Being 16 hooking up a car really isn't worth much, but if you want cheap mods look here https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-1997-1999-56/%2A%2A%2Anoob-guide-read-first-before-posting%2A%2A%2A-478508/
normal bolt ons would be, ebay intake with k&n filter, headers, exhaust, underdrive pulley, new spark plugs, the list goes on

if thats the car he has thats the car he has. not like he can go out and buy a new one.
bro if your car is a 3.0 then there isnt much you can do with it (unless your cocoa and your some sort of mad scientist with tons of money
..cocoa you DO have a 3.0 yeah?) unless you do nitrous or custom turbo your pretty much stuck with headers, intake, pully, exhaust.
shouldnt have settled with the auto. haha. next time tell yer parents to get you something stick

I finally found an old post I was looking for. I spent 2 hours looking for it, even though I could have rewritten it in minutes. But it's the principle! I just wanted to see if I could dig up old info of mine if I were someone else. Anyways, here's an old statement of mine.
"The odyssey, mdx, CLS, and 3.0 CL all share the EXACT short block. They ALL share the same casting, BUT different internally for some. The CLS and MDX have cylinder walls that can withstand more heat at higher rpms (depending on what year MDX, but falls true for every CLS), and the Odyssey is a 3.5 simply because it's stroked.
So you can take out your 3.0 short block, throw in the Odyssey short block from the years 00-02, and you will now be the next 3.5L first gen for under $1000 (assuming you get the short block for $350 and labor to have someone else do it run about $600). Also, make sure you use the crank positioning sensor for the 3.0. I'm know some are the same for some years and what not, but dont risk your engine if you decide to do this without the extra research. I can help anyone that wants to do it, if you just let me know in advance. I'd explain what can go wrong if you were to have the wrong sensor, but I dont want to type it. Easiest way to say it, it'd read the crank revolutions wrong which would cause a whole lot of shit to go wrong, and then boom.
All sensors from your 3.0 you just throw on the new short block.
You will find the Odyssey block cheaper than the mdx block.
If I were anyone else that would be willing to spend a $1000 (est.) to stroke their CL, I would buy CLS pistons for $200 brand new for all 6, and what ever the price be for new pistons rings and what not, to raise the CR to 10.8:1 to get a lil more power out of it."
Although replacing pistons will run you more.
Replace the short block. You'll get a lot more low end torque, and some extra power out of it. It'll look stock. And I'm sure you'll have some fun.

After giving it some thought. I don't know if you can find a shop that will do it for that price unless you're hooked up. I really don't know what the normal rates are for stuff like this. Cali hookups ftw!
ya my car is a 97 3.0 v6 sorry i havent had my computer in days but im savin up for headers new exhaust and possibly Nitrous. Also my tranny seems to be in great condition me or my dad havent noticed anything the car runs like new, but how risky would Nitrous be?

i saw the apexi on ebay and im considering it. but would something like using the piping from this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95...mZ180293040286
and adding a new muffler and headers be just as good or is there a quality difference.

^^probably sound good but dont know how long it will last but why put one exhaust can on instead of the other, I dont see how it makes a difference other than looks, but i can def tell you get quality headers or youll have issues and dont bother with the muffler just get a cat back

so for right now i think im just gonna get headers until i can get my friends dad to do a custom exhaust, i saw these on ebay for 200$ and im assuming they arent very good quality and also i saw in the header DIY you have to bend the pipe, if i get ones made for the CL instead of the accord will i still need to bend it.

you should
