When i first got my exhause i didnt know much about muffler and i got this puny one installed and my car is very quiet, and now i want a roar. so since all my piping is already done 2.5inch w/ 22" resonator im thinking about just slappin a 14816 on the back of it? or should i go 14815? i tried searching for some clips//videos and i couldnt find any. all i found was a 14186 on a 2.2 which sounded ill. what do you guys think? and if any of you have any soundclips of these muffs w/ 22"resonator stock cat and 2.5" piping that would be cool too.

1.) both of those have a single 2.25" inlet, so they'd just be a bottleneck
2.) what muffler is on the end of your piping right now? i just found a hole right in front of my muffler, but the exhaust is still whisper quiet.

i have a 11225 or a 11235 i forget..but i got back from the shop and he thinks i can get the same sound if i remove my resonater. i dont think any one here has the same muffler that i have so im hardpressed for a sound clip. but i dont know what i should do. itll be about 60 bucks to remove the resonator..25 to put it back on if i dont like it. or 220 to get the new muffler and install it. also whats bad about bottle necking? does it make it sound worse?

im not very fond of the though of putting anything magnaflow on my vehicle, but do they even make a muffler that makes a car loud?? what makes it so popular around here?? just curios

IMO an exhaust should be loud, thats the point of getting one.

still kinda iffy to buy it. i was comparing this muffler to my muffler and the only difference is mine has has an offset between the inlet and outlet. so the exhaust flow is not straight and goes kind of like " `- " if that makes any sence. where the 14815 is straight cut so the inlet and outlet are at the same place in the muffler. will it make that much difference in sound?

go with the magnaflow 15 not 16 it would give more flow to the eyes, and without the stock resonator like mine just the cat and straight pipe to the muffler it would give you headache, right now im looking for a resonator [prefer stock] to put it back on but no where to be found. dont make the same mistake i do. just my two cent

I've got the 14816 and a 22" Magnapack resonator on my 3.0 and it sounds magnificent. Has plenty of growl and it's loud but not too bad. Still gives me a back massage in the lower rpms though
