Im so pissed off...............

I was driving today on the way home from work and I went to answer my cell phone and one street where i live kinda turns a little and i thought i was already past it and i ended up curbing my whole front wheel and part of the rear, i tried to turn before i hit it but it was destiny with my car and the curb, the tire is ok for both front and rear but the polished lip near the end where the tire meets the lip is a goner on the front

however, i have a bunch of sand paper, 600 grit up to 2000 grit and i tried to sand some down, and it was starting to some off, and then i used a 1000 and then finished up with a 2000 wet and it clear a little patch of it up pretty good, i will have to find a spare set of 2 wheels so i can still drive and fix both but i think i can make the rims good as new

klepto: this will be my next write up on how i did this, cause i think it will turn out good and fix those nasty curbed rims people always get, with a little sanding and a steady hand with lots of sand paper and a little nice Meguiars metal polish i think i can get it close back to normal and you cant tell with the naked eye

pics to come soon

sorry if i vented out on anyone's threda today i know i did it to klepto, ive been in a bad moood lately with work working 16+ hours past 2 days and i have a interview for a position to move up in the company tomorrow or friday so its stressing me out

thanks for listening

Joe

no one has tried to fix a curbed rims or scuffed up one for that matter and showed it

i think it will work with some time and lots of sand paper

Is the chrome scrapped off though? If you sand, it will make a nice finnish, but it will certainly remove the chrome. They electro plate that stuff on at the big wheel shops.
