im chicken spit

i just bought a 2.2 cl with a rebuilt tranny and i believe it has not been opened up being that previous owners were to older women and im scared to open it up to see if vtech works im afraid please help lol! i took at as far as 90mph on i95 and as far as 3800 rpms

vtec engages @ 5500, if its not engaging, check your oil first.

i hear 4500 rpms anyway since im not familair with car im afraid i might run it too hard plus i dont think its even been tested vtech that is since it was new the car has 137k miles

finding the sweet spot

ok so i have been wondering when the vtech engages on my fb22 i have heard 5500,4000,3000,3500,and 5800 some of you have been real helpful but im kind of confused now even one guy told me drive in d4 on highway and then downshift to d3 and shift back to d4 to find out well i just got my tranny rebuilt dont think thats a smart idea at this point is it even worth it

stop opening new threads. you will engage vtec.... not vtech unless you have a acura cl integrated with a vtech 2.8ghz phone integrated into the cl's vtec at 5500rpm!!!

Its a single cam 4cylinder automatic, you will not even feel the vtec when it actuates.
