I wrecked my 3.0

I was going about 80 on in a curve when my car started to understeer, I corrected it but as I was tapping the brake and turning left I hit a bump and my car took a sharp left into the curb. When I hit the curb I blacked out but the cops said I did a 180 over the medium and two lanes of on coming traffic... landing in the last lane.(it was a three lane road) then I slide up another curb braking both my right axles. I took out a huge metal box that was cemented into the ground(traffic light control box) and then slowly slide into a BMW... and broke his front right axle... and as of now I have no clue what wrong with my car, I haven't even sen it yet... but everyone(cops and pedestreins) said both my right tires were tucked under my car... and that I was lucky that I was alive, and that my car didn't flip...

... I miss my car...

Glad to hear your alright. I was extremely disapointed about the handling of my CL. It handles horrorably on turns. Maybe I'm used to my RX 7, and maybe CL's handle better if lowered, but the body roll and under steer is terrible on my car.

I hate going into a turn too fast! Scary!

Can't sell anything... I had to get a lawyer today because I might be charged with street racing and that is a class B mistermeaner down here... but they have no proof that I was but then again the only proof I have that I wasn't is my word, my friends word, and the fact my car did low 10's in 8th and his does it in mid 11's... and the fact of use both knowing that why would we waste our time to get up at 6:00a.m. for us to find out on a road I never drove on before. If they use common sense I will get away with just a speeding ticket and driving uncontrolidoiuywgerf-ly... (I got sick of typing and trying to think of these dumb laws, I am sick of all of it... I just want my CL back.)

Damn, if they charge you with racing, go to court and make them prove it.

Glad to hear that you are still alive between the accident and the BMW driver and all.

BTW: I hate to sound all negative, but be on the lookout for your insurance company to try and screw you, maybe even drop you because your company has to pay for everything you broke, and those traffic control boxes run around $20g's man. Look on the bright side of it, you did wake up today, that alone is worth a million bucks!

I rolled my 98 accord 3 tomes about 4 months ago coming back to Vegas from California. Some bitch lost control of her car and ran into the side of me. I had my girl and my 1 year old daughter in my car. Suprise suprise, she didnt speak one god damn word of english...All i got from the accident was a cut on the leg. My girl got whiplash and some stitches in her leg. And my daughter got a couple scrathes on her face....I will never ever buy anything other than an Honda/Acura.

Damn glad to hear you're ok... sad you just recently got your CL.

Yeah I've been noticing the CL's understeer going into turns is a real factor more and more.

The car handles ok on stock suspension and stock wheels going down hill, if anyone is familiar with Big Bear lake area over her in socal, coming down that hill is real fun. but on flat turns I almost always misjudge the turn and end up having to turn the wheel a lot at the end of a turn especially when accelerating out of a turn.

Ok, still haven't heard shit from the judge or anything... but over the past few weeks I have grown very fond of the 89-94 240SX coupes... so I am trying to find one and do a complete S13 conversion... and I have enough saved for the car and front end... for the conversion... just waiting for the perfect coupe to become avaliable.

yea, a 95 Mustang GT five-oh T-Boned me in my old accord. i loved that car. 95 ex coupe, and loaded..

anyway, the GT was going about 50mph and i was doing like 40.. he hit me on the passenger side... i was on 2 wheels for a bit and landed on the median which snapped my left rear axle... his front end was FUCKED up.. i didnt feel like arguing at the scene, so i got the ticket.. thats why ive got the lawyer .... i had a cracked rib, but i guess it healed itself

damage estimate: 17k

glad your ok. i cannot stress that tires are IMPORTANT. if you want go fast around turns you need at least 2" drop, new sways, and some good rubber. but then you have the same problem that driving reckless on public roads in unpredictable. on a track you know nothing is going to surprise you. you cannot prepare for an unpredicted pothole or puddle. i will never forget last spring when it was the first nice day. i thought all the snow was melted and dried up. i didnt see snow for 2 days! then im going to the mall around a sharp bend i know with my eyes closed and amazingly there was water. i did a 180 got it back under control 180 back to straight and good thing no one was comming the other way.

i will never never push my car to the limits new mods allow. it is fun as shit but thats what auto-x is for. if i killed some1s little girl like the guy with the accord i couldnt live with myself.

Sorry to hear this... There are great dangers of speeding on public roads... I am glad you are okay, but more importantly I am glad that you didn't hit a pedestrian or badly injure another motorist. Remember, when you choose to speed (obnoxiosly above the posted limit) you can kill your self (fine) but you can also hurt people who had NOTHING to do with you... Think about it.

If you broke your front axle, your car will be totalled. On a FWD car that is usually enough to kill it.
