i need an intake!!!

Hey guys what's up I'm new to this site, i just got a 97 2.2 cl. I'm desperately looking for more power. I got the money and since I loveeee my car I don't really care how much I spend on a cold air intake for it. I don't know what kind of intake to get. somebody please tell me what options i got and where to get it. thanx!!

Sure they do:

Honda Accord 1994-97 4CYL: 24-6008
Honda Accord 1998-02 4CYL: 24-6015

I don't know which span is for the 2.2CL, but it's one of them.

just for your info...not many companies make aftermarket parts Specifically designed for the cl. the 94-97 cl (first gen) has pretty much the same guts as the 94-97 accord..the intake might not fit perfectly im not sure but it will generally fit. my injen intake is for an accord..it fits but the part of the intake that u secure it down with dosent lign up with where the bolt is so it just kinda sits there. there has to be a 2.2 on here with an intake... maybe they will give us their 2 cents

as said by 1stgencl in "a must read for all newbies"
- The '94-97 intake will fit the 2.2 CL and the '98 accord intake will fit the 3.0 Everyones main preference is the AEM CAI especially since you can get a bypass value to help prevent hydro lock.

There is no way you will get 25hp by only adding a CAI V2 on a 2.2

haha 25hp?!!! nah more like 7 if ur driving at night with no humidity and it is 0 degreez. but yeah someone made a booboo

1st generation cl is 97-99.. the 2.2(97) and the 2.3(98-99) engines are the same as the 94-97 honda accord 4cyl engines. Engine codes are f22 and f23... I think mine saids f23a1 if I remember correctly.

so yeah if you want anything else then you can get the cat back exhaust for teh 94-97 accord but ur going to need to extend the piping a little bit... and header for the car is going to be the 94-97 accord header... companies are OBX and DCsports? get a SS (stainless steel) header looks nicer and is stronger. other things you can do is get ignition wires, magnacore or OBX or some other brand, also for the 94-97 accord. I believe the cam gears for the 94-97 accord work as well. Other than that you can get some spark plugs a different engine, or add an accord turbo, or work on the interior, sound, or outter appearance... which you have to get custom made, or there is a front lower lip caller the WW front air dam or WW lip. Lowering springs come from the 94-97 accord as well can be from Eibach, Neuspeed, H&R. Some coilovers can be found from Tein, and another one is good too... Apexi? forgot... And then tires you can fit 19's on there, look up some pics from Katana (member of this board) but a lot of us roll on 18's with either a 225/40-18 tire, or the 225/35-18 tire.

That is all i can think of for now, a lot of other stuff is custom done and a lot of people on here have done a lot of custom stuff... bodykits, HIDS, interior work, sound, engine swaps, turbos, nitrous, lighting, shaved outsides (haha sounds funny), etc.

good luck and welcome
