I JUST want to make sure.......
when I brake the steering wheel shakes pretty bad. I took in in for an alignment about a month ago, and the dude said it was my rotors for sure. ANyone else have this problem? I'm selling the car and want to fix this first, but I want to make sure it's not the pads or something else. thanks ryan

rotors
they just need to be resurfaced, change your pads while you are at it since your rotors are warped it's put an uneven wear on your pads

well, the steering wheel jerks back and forth like a mother fuckr when I brake. It's been doing this for over a month, and i've been too lazy to get it fixed. It's been consistently getting worse
is there any way to tell for sure if i need new rotors?

not without taking them out and measuring the thickness at the lowest point
rotors are quite cheap
98-99's 2.x are pretty easy to take off
(dont forget the impact wrench)

Yeah, i asked about removing them and whatnot about a month ago and found that the 98+ are alot easier to switch I guess. I'm just gonna try to find some on ebay or something soon here. thanks. BTW-when i get these new rotors, will these pads i have on right now need to be replaced??

they might have regular ones on ebay but if it doesnt matter to you go to autozone and get rotors for like 30 bucks a piece and get cheap pads
you got a 2.3?, right,, got any mods left to sell
to help your funds for the replacement?

ENGAGE MY VTEC BABY!!!!!!
i bought regular brembos and had a guy in so cal machine slots into them for me the cost was 70 for the rotors which isnt bad, i bought it througha friends shop that knew him.
shaking steering wheel means warpped rotors and they need to be turned, how hard you drive her? i just did mine today and with normal slotted brakes you cant turn them, the ones i have, oh baby can you turn them, i probably have 1 or 2 more turns left and thats getting your money out of your brakes
when you replace rotors you will need new pads, this time i used a hawk performance pads, they are ok but only the first day driving on them, the brake job was 120 for the rotors turned and pressed since the rotors needed to be pressed on and off
total cost for turnig rotors and pads was about 200, 100 for turning and 63 for pads plus frieght from tirerack.com for the pads then labor. with the CL i would not recommend doing the brakes yourself they are difficult and if you dont know what you are doing you can fuck them up badly, i know from personal experience you have to take off the whole a arm and rotor assembly to get the rotor off by pressing it with a pull bar or a machine shop
SOOdark, IM me on AOL if you need some more help, i just got this done tday and i can give you estimate by looking at my recipt, and BTW i did my work at Big-O-Tires aka in this town Big-Ho

thanks 97Acura3.0CL!! i'll probably have somebody do the pads for me, (how hard is changing the pads??) But I heard the 98+ rotors are 50x easier to change than the 97 ones, so i'm gonna try that myself i think.

yesterday I drove down to Vista, CA to visit Ryan "SooDARK" nice guy traded my stock rims and tires for his amp and subs straight up... yeah I know getting rid of the stocks ain't such a good idea, but by the time I get rid of my car stock rims won't matter and I don't have a place to store them. Anyway thanks a bunch Ryan.
