I have a Problem
Today, I left the lights on in my CL on and when I came out of work, the battery was dead. I got a boost from someone, but now my radio doesn't work. First it was displaying "code" and I tried playing with it alittle bit. I don't know why but I put a CD in. Now it just says "error 3" Where can I get this code? I don't have any of the factory manuals. Can I call acura and give them my VIN?

Call the place where you got the acura and they'll ask you some personal info. They won't give it out to you from just the VIN because then anyone could get the code. Also, when you get the code, and if hu still says "error 3", disconnect the batter (negative terminal) for a few minutes, then put it back to reset it. Then just enter the code and you should be set. Otherwise I believe you can wait I think 30 minutes with the car on until it resets...

They told me I needed the serial number off the radio, jsut had to pull the stereo out(very easy) and the serial number is on the bottom of it. you will have to disconnect the battery still- as stated above. good luck- When you get the code write it down and keep it in a safe spot!!!

code comes in a little blue card inside the owners manual or
underneath cup holder
underneath ashtray
sidewall of glove box
if you cant find it just call a acura dealership and will need your stereos serial # and presto.
also instead of waiting for the thing to reset or unplug the battery just pull the 7.5A radio backup fuse in the hood.
