i was lookin around on www.toucanindustries.com aka ractive, and they just finished their website. i look at their catalog for exhaust systems and guess what i see... damn straight... a cat-back with a spliter for dual mufflers for, they say, 96-2000 cl's, but from what i know, 97 is the first year of production right?? i dunno... check it out and lemme know what you guys think. i've heard a ractive cat-back on my uncle's m3 before, he installed it for 2 days, sounds awesome, not deep and not raspy, just sounded damned nice, maybe it was the car.

 

Do they sell the new bumber you'll need to accommodate that too?

 

Is their room for this on our car? cause i hear that the gas tank would get in the way...

 

More than likely they thought the 96-00 V6 accord exhaust was the same and could fit so they labeled it under the 3.0 CL.

 

no offense, but Toucan industries/Ractive is like another APC.....i wouldnt buy anything from there...I would do custom before that.

 

thats an exhaust for 6th gen V6 accords (98-02) the 1st gen CL exhaust runs down the center of the car, then goes way off to the right hand side...

the 6th gen accord exhaust runs closer to the center the whole way back, then splits at the rear wheels and goes to the 2 mufflers...

Its a misprint on their page... sorry to disapoint you.

A 3.0 CL cat-back wouldnt come with 2 mufflers anyway... Cat-back systems always follow the stock piping and design.

 

ok everyone i have a buddy that runs a chevy parts store and he told about these in june, they are for the 97-200 cl but in the catolog they say acura coupe 97-2000 and when we called they were really even more stupid and said the same thing over the phone they are for a coupe but the only coupe is the cl. but note i took the catolog to a muffler shop and told him to look to see if they are going to fit, he said he had to saw off the tow hitch that comes on the car when they are shipped from japan or overseas and he said it would fit but he would have to maybe bend the pipe a little to "compensate" for the tank but he said it should be no problem. it looks ok but i would rather go to a mullfer shop and have a custom one done and pick out 2 mufflers and have the piping size increased to 2.5/3 inches all the way around. i got a price from him for 2 magnaflow mufflers with 2.5 inch ss tips and new 2.5/3 piping all the way back to the cat including cutting off the silencer for 450. he said it is supposed to increase hp 12-16 supposedly. well good luck man and let me know if you order one for your i would love to see it or a pic.
