i baked mine in the over at 180 for bout 5-8 mins at a time and worked on one and put the other in, then switched em, again and again, and again. just work slowly and u wont break anything. i used a small flathead screwdriver and a razor. the other prob u will have is that piece is attached with a special screw. its a * with a center pin so u cat use a reg * bit. i ended up grindin the pin down with my dremel so i could use a reg * bit to unscrew it. but i got lucky on the other light cuz the pin wasnt as long so i could just get my * to catch and i got it out.

Isn't there any solvent that you could put on the glue to get it off, or is melting it the only way?

u dont melt it, u just heat it up so u can pull it apart. it is very stick like sticky tak but much much better. even cold the pieces will stick together. its reusable get the idea?
