how to remove rear bumper

Ok, the clearcoat was starting to peel off the rear bumper so I sanded it all down to the basecoat. Looks good right now but I found out I can take this plastic bumper off, which would be preferable b/c after paint jobs I've done on other cars no matter how good you mask it overspray always finds a way to coat something.

Has anybody attempted taking the bumper off. Where are all the connection points, and how easy is it to disconnect them. I already cracked two of the five connectors at the trunk lid and the two in the rear wheels wells look pretty flimsy. Is the thing ever going back on if I break any of these plastic connectors? (and I thought GM was bad)

Would it be worth buying the Chilton's manual which would explain this? I was able to follow along somewhat with the 94-97 Accord Haynes manual.

Thanks in advance

Daniel

I think when i took the rear fender liner out to work on the gas tank I saw some connections there. If there is a Chiltons, i hear they are good.

-take ur tails out
-take the plastic interior piece out of the trunk in the rear
-remove all the clips along the top of bumper cover
-remove the screws in the wheel well
-it pulls right off

Ahhh, yeah, but sometimes I don't have th patience for that, you know what I mean. I just couldn't connect to the server. Could just be b/c there were already two people on it. I paid $26 for a new Chiltons and if I keep my car it'll pay for itself because I'll be able to do tricky stuff that I used to have to get the mechanic to do.
