ok first off you need to have jack stands...if you dont then dont try to do this until you get some...
once you have the car up on the stands and the wheels off...
front
you can see the shock and spring..first thing unbolt the brake lines from the strut/ shock
toward the bottom of the shock you will see what apears to be a fork there are 2 bolts that need to be taken out ..1 at the top of the fork thing and the other at the bottum..once you have done that then take off the 3 bolts that are at the top of the strut..in the engine bay.. then just wiggle it until it comes loose.
rear
the rear is a little easier, there is 1 bolt at the very bottom of the strut that needs to be unbloted then take out the 2 bolts that are at the top of the strut....you will have to dig up the carpet in your trunk to get to it but it is easy...you will have to manuver the strut to get it out of the wheel well...
once the struts are out of the car you will have to use an allen/hex wrench with a 14mm wrinch to disasemble the struts fro the springs....they g to the top of the strut then just unbolt (if this is a stock suspension be prepared for a lot of force and be carefull, the shock and spring will contrack with alot of power) remember the spring is compressed in there...
tools needed:
allen/ hex wrenches
14mm, 17mm wrenches
10mm, 14mm, 17mm sockets
ratchet
braker bar
oh yea and a 12 pack...have fun

d98clturbo: great directions!
I'm in the middle of helping dajuice27 put in KYB AGX struts and Eibach Pro-Kit springs. We got the rears in today (with great complications)! We'll put the fronts in, in the morning.
I also installed my struts and springs last year, plus helped BigBrother with his.
I would recommend getting lower, rear strut mounting bolt(s) from the dealer before beginning. Like I've said, I helped with 3 installs, and at least one bolt has broken each time. What a bitch!
A bottle jack comes in handy when attempting align the holes in the rear lower strut and the mounting bracket (especially if you're doing the install alone).
I had to go out any buy a sawzall to cut the fucking OEM strut bracket after the bolt broke off in the bushing! Luckily, we were able to eventually get the bolt out of the bushing.
Damn, I'm tired!

hey, clstyle....i did the drop myself too...and i did it alone, cause my "friends" were busy that weekend......but please remember to get spring compressors too....you can rent em from autozone.....and make sure to compress the springs before taking them off the shock...or if you dont, youll end up with a projectile flying at some high speeds...and you wouldnt want to kill yourself or have to get a quarter panel replaced just over a stupid spring......if you really have no wrench experience i'd recommend you get a friend that knows his way around a car to help! Don't tackle it unless you understand the dangers of compressed springs!!!

All I can say is to take them to a shop. Dustbuster and I had some serious problems with my car this weekend. Lets just say, we had a spring fly off the compreessors along with a sheared bolt, a strut that had to be sawed off, then in half.
Not a good idea to do yourself. I just say be ready for the worst, not all installs go as smoothly as others. Be patient. and have lots of tools or a auto shop nearby so y9ou can buy what you'll need.
Pics to come later tonight and tomorrow.
