How much can I sell my car for?

it's a 98 2.3 CL with 61,000 miles. Im not sure if i want to sell it with my mods or take it back to stock. I already put a for sale sign on it, and have alot of people ask how much. I keep telling them that it depends on my suspension and system.

$10,000 as is...
$9000 with either suspension or system
$8500 with neither of those

What do you think? Are those reasonable prices?

I looked up kbb and came out with $11,800 just for the car. If you could get that much with everything on it, I'd sell it. I'd make the asking price $12,000 and see what offers you get.

hmmm... that's strange. i looked up kbb, i only got around 10k. i guess it depends on where u live. i'd like to get 10k without the suspension and system... that's my goal.

Yah, I used my zip code. Did you use trade in or private party? 10k minus the sounds and suspension is reasonable. Esp with the low miles. How much would you be looking to sell the teins for?

LISTEN , this is what you do (considering you didnt get rid of anything)

restore your car ALL THE WAy back to stock. I mean all the way.

except for the side marker cuz then ull have a whole in teh fender

and then sell ur car, then sell your mods so then ull hopefully have

some doe. Plus, people are quicker to buy the car if they c that no1

modded it with 3rd party accessories. believe it or not, people are

highly against that shit

good advice. sorry guages are already sold. somehow, i think that people would want to buy a slightly modded car that looks better than stock (eg. front lip). i just assume that people that are into cars would value a slightly modded car more than a stock one. maybe im wrong.

yes i guess. however, if i were the buyer... i wouldnt mind some minor upgrades (eg. suspension, interior, etc.) to the car... however, performance upgrades is a different story. the thing is that many people decide to sell their car as is... and not part it out. i guess they dont want to go through the hassle of parting everything out.... ? even though they could earn more money doing so...

i guess u guys are right. i just hate parting out my car... not because it's a hassle... because i hate selling it knowing that it looked much better. that's why i wanted to sell it with the suspension and lip. oh well...

The only way to get the real value of a car is the NADA book. Thats what dealers use, and that is what the car is really worrth, KBB gives you a bullshit number to make you happy, NADA is what you'll get. Dealers around here put KBB printouts on all the used lot cars and then when you trade in, give you NADA value, because KBB is always higher. Grimey ass dudes.....
