Could be the fuse too, but i think it's the same as the radio fuse, otherwise check the connections like staff said

This has happened with mine too! In trying to fix it, I'd like to move it into the glove compartment too. Yesterday I tried using a replacement assembly...connected the power & the ground, but no luck. I'm thinking it has to do with the plastic clips on the original lighter but I don't know what the wires going into that clip are. Anyone know?

My car lighter started a fire when i using it. The fire was small but it did burn my dash wiring hardness, all the way behind the glove box. I'm looking for a new hardness now.

just hardwire the sucker, its not that difficult, and im against cordless detectors, they miss laser and instant on contacts at times, and their reaction times are slower than any corded unit of equal price/class........the expensive SOLO2 is no exception unfortunately........ you can mount a corded unit just as easilly and hide it like a cordless unit... observe:

2 corded units, mounted high... NO hanging wires on either the G-meter or the X50

big bright red warning light of PAY ATTENTION, and the great button of SHUT UP

from the outside too

Hardwired? So you mean you wired another lighter to the battery w/just a fuse in between? Or is that wrong?
