Cruise on the free way at around 60 mph then agressive add gas dont ROMP IT down to hell and charge out but slowly / agressively when u pass 4k RPM u will notice a mild change in power and noise.

Aint that some shit. I don't see what the big deal with VTEC is anyways. It's barely noticable to me, but thats' just me. Well, damn.. now I just need to get som headers next, then a catback (this one looks nice..) then I'll be done. MIGHT get nitrous, but probably not. I'm gonna need this car for quite a while.

The DOHC VTEC "kick" from a B18C5 and H22 are quite different than our SOHC F22/23....

Vtec kicks in at 4500 rpm's with the 3.0 stock. It wont kick in any earlier unless you did something to your car like get a vtec controller and had it set to kick in earlier. Just because your intake getz louder, does not mean your vtec kicked in.....

As for the f22/23 motors, i dont know when it kicks in...

vtec kicks in at 3500 on the 3.0. It doesn't kick in higher like the others cause we don't redline nearly as high as they do.

you can definately feel/hear it if you have an intake

Until you took it to the shop? Are you running a VAFC or anything?

Well, on my 97 3.0, after the intake, the car goes from a low "vroom" to at exactly 4000 RPMs, it changes to a high pitched "wahhhhhhhhh". Or something similar. You can tell, it sounds like a whole different engine. I don't remember what it sounded like before the intake...
