i could not hang with a newer saturn ion.first run i knew i had a prob.dropped into d3 and hit it a sec before him and pulled a car.i think i'm the man and i got a quick kill,WRONG,within seconds he is on my ass but did not pass. hit around 120 and my hazards.traffic slows us down for a split second but before you know it were next to each other and going at it again.this time we hit about the same time and he pulls and i'm at his ass trying to catch up .finally we catch a light and this is where he put me out of my misery and made me realize i stood no shot.from a dead stop he launched like a bullet(never seen a saturn move like that) and pulled a limo+.it's not like i had a bad start either i power braked. thats where it ended,traffic was in the distance and even if it wasn't,he got me.
to make it worse he never turned his hazards off....

anyone else got ate by an ion?

btw due to this race my front rim is officially shot.(really bent, feel it drastically while driving, but still holding air)

i have a minor exhaust leak and my o2 is shot could this have been a major factor?

 

you owned your own wheel for a saturn?

 

i'll own my car for a tercel if he want's a piece.it's principal.i've actually raced a lambo in a paseo.as for the rims i'm getting new ones anyway,these are hurtin.just gonna rotote and f*ck up the other two before i get new ones.these were starting to bother me anyway.

The o2 and exhaust leak def could have slowed you down, but you should have owned that pos. It probly had some stuff done to it, get some headers and and exhaust, and open grease lightning up and let her breath

Yea that saturn is rocking a 220 hp s/c 2.4 lt dohc. same motor in the cobolt SS.

 

I can honestly say I've never heard of a saturn described as above.....but times are-a-change'n yeeeehaaaa

Is it 200 HP?? maybe i was confusing the Srt4 with them. They had the Srt4, ion redline, and cobolt SS on car and driver going head to head. All of those cars are very quick.
