hey guys,

i was wondering if the underside of the hood is painted as well? recently some moron backed into my car and dented the hood. i found a guy who does paintless dent repair and had it smoothed out. he went through the existing slots. anyhow, i used a little clearcoat on the paint, just in case. but i was wondering if i should spray anything underneath the hood, through the same slots, just in case it rust. is it painted underneath as well. i know it's double panelled.

 

just look under the hood..............of course its painted. If they used PDR to repair it why would you want to spray clear coat over it? If the repair shop believed more repairs were necessary they would recommend, its their job to sell paint.

 

i can't see behind the bracing. the reason i'm asking is, even though the paint isn't cracked on the outside, would it be underneath? since it was pushed in, the chipping may be on the other side? i don't know if it's the same coating as on top of the hood, that's why i thought i might spray a bit in the slot.

 

i wouldnt worry bout it.

 

the underside of my hood could be pink for all i care.
