Hondata is a stand alone unit. You could use it on our car but you would have to do all the tuning yourself or have someone do it for you. It's not a mod really. It's really pointless if you aren't running a FULLY built motor weather FI or NA
that's true... but all the tuning that you have done can be saved so think about it... You could have a setup saved for all types of weather or if you we're racing.. or just crusin on a nice summer day...

yea, but you wouldn't see much gains from doing this if the car was stock or had basic bolt ons like intake and headers. If you had different cams or a worked head or were FI your results would be really good.

well all I know is that my friend that has a 95 prelude installed hondata and had the local import shop tune his system and all he had done was intake and exhaust.. his car idels like v8 now and believe me from what I saw he has close to a 15 to 20 hp increase... he's not running FI either... plus tokyo image and I are really good friends I helped design their webpage so I'm sure they would fine tune the system for me for cheap... well I'll see what I kind of info I can get and I'll get back with everyone here about it..
3100 rpm is the lowest vtec can be set with a vafc
On a stock ecu the engagement varies on load, rpm, and temp (the vafc will tell you when the stock ecu tries to egage vtec).
On the 4 cyl I saw the most benefit at the lowest setting of 3100.
