Home modified removable rear upper strut bar??

Went to pick up my girlfriend/ her family at the airport... damn~ the rear strut bar is REALLY in the way!!.... Since itz just some bolts and bars... I was thinking it will be great if the bar is a removable design....

Now i'm thinnking of somehow doing a clip on.. kinda like a bycicle seat.... i'm not exactly sure how i'm gonna do this but anyone attempted to do this??

how did you get your trunk liner to fit flat? Did you cut into it? IF you make it so that it's easily removeable it probably won't be as strong. This is something to look into though. I'mt hinking of just removing mine

how about instead of using normal nuts and bolts how about using wing nuts...you can remove them with your hands

IF you guys are talkin about the Rear upper strut ( one in the trunk) using a wing nut wouldn't work because those bolts that holds it down also holds down the rear shocks.

Double nut it then if the studs are long enough. Tighten the one down like normal to hold the shocks in, then but the STB over those.

you do make a good point but also remember the entire weight of the car is on the shock...so the bolt is mainly there to keep the shock from moving the few mm that it can possibly move...
just my opinion the wing nuts should work ..

but ill be the first to say...IT'S NOT THE WISEST THING TO DO...
