High-Compression Pistons for the 3.0
I've been looking into it, and it seems like a set of custom Hi-Comp Pistons would be a good deal. You get power everywhere (low-end and high-end) and the only down-fall is that you'll have to use higher octane gas.
I know things aren't so easy and you can't go ahead and increase compression to like 12.0 without making serious modifications to your engine, but from what I gather a 1 point increase wouldn't make other mods to your engine neccessary and should give some real power. Thoughts.
As far as pricing goes, I've seen several reputable companies that make custom sets for a V6 for around $800 or so.

yes but what kind of high-compression pistons?
domed? curved? Are they forged? If so, you will need sleeves, and other stuff like metal gaskets. Forged pistons tend to leak oil like hell if not done perfectly right, and can even leak and being done perfectly.
You can safely raise the compression to 12.0 with a high-comp head with pistons, but you will need LOTS more fuel and lots of cool gauges! I don't know if this would be stand alone area, but better safe than sorry.
